-I like the line "well this fire will last me all my life".
-Montag is finally starting to question the society he lives in.
-his wife is so confrontational but backs away or gives up when Montag begins to question her beliefs.
-This is probably the first time that Montag did not smile.
-Montag really does not want to work.

-When he says stitched does he mean tattooed?
-If it was Capt. Beatty wouldn't they have seen him before?
-What is wrong with being sick?
-Are any of the other men as hurt as Montag is about the old lady?
